for a fortune 500 company the health insurance is very expensive.univar holds their 401k contributions for a year to slow down employee turnover,if there is a holiday or you take a vacation day during a week you have to work over 40 hours in the remaining 4 days to receive overtime pay,took away company profit sharing and safety bonus also employee stay fit program, quit helping to pay for college classes, amost took away Christmas 50 gift card

Cons

Constant change in direction being lead by Executive leadership not familiar with the business. Very dysfunctional company. They seem to keep the average leaders and pass on the strong leaders who are adding value/

I joined Univar for the opportunity to be part of a transformation. They became a F300 company in the summer of 2015 and have higher level of business expectations to meet. Univar is hungry to bring in new talent to lead them into this new chapter of Univar's history. Yes, it can be chaotic at times but my experience and knowledge is quickly making an impact in my first 6 months. Pay is competitive.

Cons

The benefits program is average. There are many projects to be done that requires a daily game of prioritizing.
