      Pros

      Great benefits, salary, etc. Technology offerings can be cutting edge - for the right product. The individuals below director/management level are some of the best and brightest.

      Cons

      Development efforts in stable product sets is lacking. Management pushes sales above all without concern for market demands, effectiveness or customer issues.

      SEC has been through many changes over the past 25 years. It started as ROLM, IBM, Siemens and finally Siemens Gores.

      Pros

      Small company environment with very large conglomerate backing. SEC is a very small company in the U.S., less than 600 employees. Although the marketing VP will tell you 2000-which is still very small.

      Cons

      SEC has suffered over the years searching for an idenity. First a very small division at IBM, then an IBM and Siemens company and now a Siemens and private equity company-the worst of worst.
