Pros

The environment isn’t inherently toxic, and you can meet passionate, talented people Projects are ambitious and can be creatively stimulating if you enjoy challenges If you know how to navigate internal dynamics, you can find your voice and be heard

Cons

Internal politics are everywhere — it’s a daily chess game. You need to build alliances, stay diplomatic, and play the right cards to progress. The work structure is extremely chaotic, especially in co-dev with other Ubisoft studios: time zone differences are ignored, communication is vague, and sensitive topics are consistently dodged The “Ubisoft family” narrative feels more like a marketing slogan — decisions are clearly driven by shareholders and profit margins. Salary increases are percentage-based across the board, regardless of your actual salary. Whether you're earning minimum wage or €70k/year, a 2% raise is the same for everyone Teams are mostly junior, and turnover is very high. Talented people leave at the first opportunity because they’re not listened to or valued. Ubisoft often lets great talent walk away rather than adjusting compensation or responsibilities
