Run away as fast as you can. - Turn over rate in the Staffing department is high. - Not all branch heads know how to be good supervisors. There are few that are great and you will know first hand by seeing how many of their staff have remained and look happy to be there. - You either get a job here through connections, favoritism and politics. Not everyone that's currently working here has military experience, a vet, military spouse or currently in school for human resources. There's a loophole to get you in. FACT! - Office gossip is normal here. There are pockets of employees who complain constantly to others about other employees and their work. You can sadly hear this just by sitting in your cubicle space, while in the restrooms and break rooms. Stay far away from those energy vampires. - At any time, you may be placed in a different department doing something else depending on their needs. - Lack of communication

Unpredictable schedule. Time away from home obviously. The most annoying thing to me is that you the quality of your life depends almost entirely on who is directly in charge of you. Now that is similar to most civilian employment main difference being you get to leave civilian employment if you want it.
