You will not promote unless you go majorly outside your Job description, doing activities like bake sales, volunteer work, etc Pay is abysmal, even without accounting for newly onset massive inflation Poor living conditions (I didn't have hot water in my barracks for 3 years, the water I did have was brown, no AC, me and a roommate sharing a room the size of an average public restroom) You will be treated like a child, regardless of your age. (For example, I can assist in surgery for work, but am not authorized a toaster, candles, air fryer, etc in my room.) You will experience mass punishment, regardless if you were involved or not You will be overworked If you have terrible leadership, there is little to nothing you can do about it in most situations besides embracing the suck
