- workforce management: skillset management & forecast/retraining, performance management
- margin forecast and optimisation
Company grew too fast in 2021, with a leadership incapable of handling it. Things are getting better but there is still a few years of pain before the structure is healthy again. For now, both salaries and progression is more or less stop as the organisation is too "top heavy".
Thoughtworks lacks a management structure that is here to help transform and evolve the company, and has instead a set of entitled tenured employees which are protecting their position. Leading to a very political, opaque and toxic organisation.
Culture of openness and quirkiness, coupled with technical excellency, that made TW's reputation is gone now.
Historical figures will still call upon the glorious past, but the words have trouble translating to actions, and things are only happening at the margin with great communication, like in most companies, rather than the heart of the engine like it used to be.
