Pros

Reuters has a great brand name, fantastic office (interior design and facilities are second to none), cool locations (london, new york). The news gathering side is fantastic, world-class, competitive and efficient

Cons

Awful management, lack of customer focus, stagnant and resistant to change. The product side of the business is woefully incompetent and cannot bring a decent product to market. Reactionary attitudes, lack of understanding of software engineering process, unstructured roles and responsibilities, lead by managers who are completely out of touch with the needs of the people who use their product (most product development teams have never seen a user) and a general air of mistrust make Reuters a pretty terrible place to work.
