Pros

Good job to take if you need something quickly and are willing to sacrifice your self-respect to make cold calls all day

Cons

Everything else. The pay is horrendous. Your day runs 9-6 instead of a normal 9-5, and even so you're guilted into working longer hours with no overtime but the expectation that you'll stay. Your manager is likely 23 years old and has never managed anything before. You're not doing any sort of "research" that was advertised, and are instead essentially working as a telemarketer. This job consists of you sending 300+ LinkedIn requests per day, emailing those people when you don't hear from them, and then cold calling them. Over and over. The supposedly "new and improved" training program (implemented because higher management has been really scared of the insanely high rates of turnover at the company) involves learning ways to dig up people's personal cell phone numbers and email addresses using various internet subscription services. At one point a training manager advised us to call targets during dinner hours so that we'd catch them while they're home near the phone. If you're uncomfortable calling someone repeatedly until they pick up, and sending someone multiple emails asking if they got your previous email, this job isn't for you. Overall, this job likely isn't for you.

Pros

There aren’t any. This is an extremely toxic company!

Cons

I worked for this company for 2 and half years so I feel like I’m uniquely suitable to review it since most people don’t even make it to a year there. - pay : they underpay you and expect you to work long and excessive hours without getting any overtime. They tell you not to discuss your pay or bonus with other employees which is ILLEGAL (an employer cannot tell you this). If you complain, they make it very clear that you are expandable and easily replaceable. - culture : culture at Third Bridge is EXTREMELY toxic. Upper management picks favorites, gossips, and does not value your work. I was a top performer and they still treated me like crap since I was not a yes man. They are looking for people that will be a cheerleader for the company and pretend that they are ok with being treated poorly. No feedback you will give will ever be taken into consideration. You will be disrespected and never valued. Everyone is really young and the atmosphere is very clique-oriented. - work : you by no means need a college degree to do this job. It is NOT a research role. It is a recurring role. You are on linkedin all day looking for “specs” (specialists) to talk to your clients on a phone discussion. You are essentially a glorified assistant. The work is dull, life sucking, and thankless. You do not learn any hard skills at all. The bottom line: Third Bridge is ALL about cutting costs and maximizing the return to their PE investors. They pay lip service to their employees, but they DO NOT care about them at all. Everyone is easily replaceable to them and they hire people monthly to make up for the massive amount of turnover. They have staff write positive reviews on here to try to offset the negative ones. The only people that do well here are those who suck up to management and are ok with being treated according to subhuman standards and conditions. I would advise anyone that is considering a job here to run away AT ALL COSTS! Take my word for it, working here was one of the worst things I did in my life.

Pros

It is a good place to start your career since you'll have exposure to many different markets and clients. That being said, It's like a lottery of what type of clients you get and what team you are in. Some of the best managers and worst managers I've seen. I was lucky enough to be a part of a great team and had a great manager. Office is in a convenient location. I like to think that the C-Level executives are truly nice people.. but they don't know whats going on in middle management.. or don't care enough to do something about it. nice monthly bonuses if you hit your target and accelerators "unlimited" sick days Career path (A1, A2, Associate, SRA...and then you leave, get fired or become a TL) which is about 2 yrs all together assuming you're hitting targets and making the right ppl happy.

Cons

- Obsessed with giving feedback - but they take receive constructive criticism well or ever change, despite all these reviews - middle management (TLs and VPs) are quite "toxic" - no year end bonuses - cold calling specialists - extremely high turnover - move desks every month - you cannot be even 1 min late to work, or leave even 1 min early - someone poops on the girls bathroom floor - lose motivation quickly - make you employees feel like they matter (Yes, EVEN the A1s and A2s) - college frat feel, everyone has a clique, and if you don't have one, you won't last long - pushes out the same people (basically the people who care enough to speak up) and keeps everyone that are willingly to be middle management's puppets - As soon as someone gets promoted to TL, they think they're too good to be friends with you (but honestly, probably brained washed by middle management)
