Pros

Working at Third Bridge has been the best experience I can imagine. The culture is extremely unusual; warm, supportive, with a management that is invested in its employees.

Cons

Not a con, but a note- definitely important to develop good relationships with those around you. Each person is not only responsible for the quality of his/her work, but for the quality of the energy and teamwork he/she brings to the table.

Pros

The company gives opportunities to those that work for it and go the extra mile. Expect to work hard. If you want a 9 to 5 job, go elsewhere. You will be part of a dynamic and encouraging environment. Flat structure and management listens to ideas of anyone in the firm. Many social activities are organized and the company makes an effort to provide continuous learning opportunities. Cognolink is a company that takes its values and culture seriously and cares about its employees. The founders are inspiring. Many colleagues have become friends for life. As a researcher, you can learn a lot about industries, companies, the investment world and its processes, global trends, networking and communication if you are open to this and make the effort. These are transferrable skills for many types of jobs.

Cons

The downside of its growth is that the company risks becoming less flexible, more bureaucratic, more focused on the individual rather than the team and this way, losing its unique atmosphere of the early years.

Pros

Benefits. Senior management appear to care about you. People seem friendly. Benefits include pvt HC, pension contribution, subsidised monthly drinks, Friday afternoon drinks n snack in office.

Cons

They lie to you. They sell you the world in telling you that you learn loads etc. essentially you're a glorified cold caller. You call people up to see if they want to act as a specialist to offer advice. You're better off becoming a recruitment consultant. You learn more about financial markets and roles that way. Here you get a very top level view. The fact they don't require you to be a finance graduate to connect investors and experts, tells you what level of education they require. RA essentially work in a expert network. The company formed in 2007 but it's still got a start up feel. They systems are poor. Long hours. It appears as a great move for a new graduate. But if you're a finance graduate, it's not. You end up specialising in a research job that will not get you that far if you want to work in finance. It offers great money for a 21 year old but think longer term. You're better off taking a smaller salary now in the right role as it'll get you far more money in the future.
