Pros

- £9.30/hr is pretty good, all things considered - 10% colleague discount throughout the year, goes up to 15% every payday weekend - Generous breaks - Take colleague health concerns seriously

Cons

- Pay is not worth the hassle you get from both customers and management, and occasionally your own colleagues - Yearly limit of £1,000 colleague discount - Breaks begin the moment you leave your department. If a customer needs your help for the full length of your break, then tough, and if you're even a minute late, team support reports you to management - Full of jobsworths. Some managers lack any empathy or people skills, while colleagues and team leaders will screw you over if it means getting a foot up the ladder. - Sickness policy does not take any overtime you do into account, meaning that one sick day can have a huge impact on your attendance record if you're only contracted to one or two days a week - Expect you to be fully flexible for them but are very rarely flexible for you outside of their legal obligations - You don't get to decide your own availability - Nepotism is rampant. Cliques everywhere. To get anywhere at all, you need to be best pals with management first - Some managers will undermine you when dealing with difficult customers - Broken checkouts/systems take months to get repaired or replaced - Absolutely zero trust placed in staff

Pros

10% discount , staff are friendly to work with.

Cons

The way they have everyone "multi-skilled" is basically an excuse to hire less staff and drain the ones they do have. Regardless of what needs done/ you are struggling in your own dept...if another one is struggling you have to go help them first. It's a joke to be honest. They should just hire more staff in the depts that are struggling instead of robbing Peter to pay Paul all the time.
