Pros

I would have said good culture but it’s all a facade. All values of diversity, inclusion and all the rubbish women in tech etc are a facade. It’s a fake outlook. I am referring to Target in india. It is like Indian politics

Cons

Everything. Leadership team, salary, processes - too much politics

Pros

1. The scale which the work done. Even a small work impacts millions of customers. 2. Free food 3.Excellent Cab facility 4. Amazing work life Balance(Provided if you dont want to take any initiative, no one bothers you. E.g. I know a colleague, who joined as a Senior Engineer and past 10 years and continues on same position.) 5. Amazing product team, but very slow compared to their competitors. 5. Good for People who want to settle and as no one challenges you. 6. Amazing place for Female Employees, they are promoted immediately and for a given requirement the hiring bar is very less for them, compared to the Male counter part. 7. Target siting on huge pile of cash, so firing is less, unless if dont fit in their circle(Read my Cons - 2nd point)

Cons

. Most of Target India Leadership is highly in-secured and try to please Minneapolis counter part to get a grip. Never promotes any one unless you are in their fellow known circle. (p.s couple of Sr.Directors are really good and value smart people) 2. Skills, Smart work doesn't matter, as long as you have God Father/Mother supporting you. (Butter/Soap/Bucket helps a lot) 3.Many fake glass-door reviews were written by HR team to attract new talents. 4. Show is completely run by Minneapolis team. 5. Slow environment and high ambitious people stay away.

Pros

Paycheck, benefits, many store locations to make relocation easy

Cons

When I went into the position, I really had no idea what I was getting into. Everyone in interviews and on glassdoor and other reviews varied greatly, and that concerned me A LOT! I was very nervous to get into something without being 100% sure, but I mean that salary as a recent grad was pretty much impossible to beat! I should have known that following my head and going for a job that had inconsistent reviews and limited insight into the actual position just because of a hefty paycheck and benefits was a terrible idea, and it was. Many times negative reviews I doubt because they could just be untrustworthy and anger due to poor performance, but that i not the case right now. I felt like I should give a real idea so people are aware. HR is only about 5% of my work week, I expected to be spending quite a bit of time on HR duties and my work center, but spending too much time off the floor is seen as a negative by supervisors. Work may be overflowing upstairs, but floor duties whether being the LOD at the time or not are apparently more important. Work life balance is ABSOLUTELY terrible, I do not know how people can have kids when working as an ETL, not an exaggeration, completely serious. Opening LOD, means arriving at the store at 6:30 for door unlock, Close LOD means staying until 12:00-12:30, CLOPENING happens all the time, meaning closing LOD then next day getting up to be in at 6:30--meaning 5 hours of sleep or less. Shifts are never 8-9 hours, which is fine, but them being 11-12 hours I see as completely ridiculous! Due to these hours, off days are spent catching up on sleep, meaning wasting a whole day because earlier in the week you could barely keep your eyes open at work. When taking out taxes, and finding out how much you'll make per hour is SHOCKING. Almost less than hourly employees. My life has turned into the most stress I have ever had due to no sleep, sleepless, re-dundant unnecessary days. I am a 23 year old grandma, rather than enjoying life and early 20's, I have developed a stress related heart condition which causes me to faint (gauged my head open at work and I was urged not to file an incident report--mind you, I am the HR director), you have paid vacation however using it is frowned upon, and relationships with those close to me are affected because when out of work you can't even stay awake. It is a job that they have to over recruit for every year due to the high turnover rate for the reasons described above, which is why the cover-up happens and their benefits are promoted so much. To me, watching your life slip by you is never worth it. Sorry for the rambling, but I really felt like a realistic picture needed to be painted.
