Pros

routating weekends, upper leadership don't care what the team leads are doing, never holding people accountable ( great if you want a work place where they lose track of you ), benifits, I liked working for target when I first got hired but excs. changed every year and got tired for every new store exc trying to re-invent the wheel

Cons

No advancement, poor pay, senior leadership hired outside company, senior leadership does not communicate down to middle and lower leadership, Hiring people just for warm bodies, Hight turn around, throwing people in their jobs with little to no training, no leadership but when you fail, holding poeple to differnet standards,

Pros

Advancement, work/life balance. The oppurtunity to be on a great team and build a great team that reflects your image as a leader.

Cons

It is what you make of it, you could put in 15 hour days or ten. No one is going to hold your for advancement you have to own your own development. It is retail with all the negatives that come with that as well.

Pros

It's essentially an easy place to work. As it's a huge company, no one bothers you much if you're on the lower rungs, and you're able to offer plenty of suggestions or just take things into your own hands. The non-discrimination policy is great, and people are as respectable as you can expect in a capitalist environment.

Cons

It promotes sweatshop practices, or at least factories in developing nations where employees are not paid nearly enough. As Target is as big as it is, a lot of the departments are extremely separated from one another - at times it's very hard to know what's going on in another part of the company without a phone tree going 30 deep.
