Good job but ran it's course

Pros

Sysco was a really good place to work for a long time. Good benefits, good pay and leader in the industry.

Cons

Corporation has managed itself backwards to the level of competition. Sales force is no longer empowered to make business decisions. Middle management has micromanaged the life right out of the job. The sales position was once something that could be a career. Unfortunately it has been treated as an entry level so much that it has become a self fulfilling prophecy. Good job but don't plan on staying more than 5 years.

Great pay, great benefits, flexible work hours

Cons

Lots of driving your own vehicle. Weekly meetings. Operations, merchandising and sales don't work together well.
