Sysco has very good systems in place operationally to make sure the job is as efficient as possible. Departments for the most part work well together to achieve a common goal of servicing customers. I will always have a place in my heart for all of the hard working, dedicated people I met during my years at the company.
Cons
Work/life balance leaves a lot to be desired. During the reorganization over the past couple years, more and more was placed on the shoulders of management to fill the voids when most of the local VP and President jobs were eliminated. This led to many extra hours and days that needed to be spent at the office. I get it, it's a publicly held company but with all the initiatives the company is pursuing, work life balance needs to be a real thing.

We are committed to creating an open, diverse, and respectful environment and take feedback from our current and former associates very seriously. There are many options at Sysco for providing feedback including anonymous methods such as the SyscoSpeaks Associate Engagement Survey and the Sysco Ethics Line. Again, we are sorry to learn that your experience with Sysco was disappointing. We wish you the very best in the future.
Great team setting work together and help to satisfy the customer, Guidance and room for growth, staff discounts and corporate deals, good management team always willing to help. Senior management is very approachable, president knows everyone by name and genuinely cares about employees and their futures
Cons
Great company to work for I have not had negative experiences
Schedule flexibility, above average salary for frontline management, standard benefit packages, quality life insurance amounts that are obtainable and affordable, company vehicle depending on role, plenty of room to advance for those that apply themselves and who are willing to make the sacrifice every successful professional has made in the past.
Cons
High stress, 7 day a week operation, long hours during busy seasons, and you're always "on-call" in some way, shape, or form.
