Pros

You only get charged a few dollars for a sandwich!

Cons

Subway's management, especially in the Tucson area, is more interested in saving money than making sure their employees are taken care of. If management realizes that you are responsible and capable, you will often find yourself working stores alone. This makes the manager's hours look good and saves them $10.50 an hour. This means you are handling customers, maintaining the store, prepping food, ect. completely alone, regardless of volume, for minimum wage. This also leads to what may feel like an unsafe work environment as well. Employees do get robbed and it happens when they are working alone. Communication is also lacking. Managers are stretched so thin that they are rarely around certain stores. I often learned of new sales promotions and changes from customers while working there. The lack of communication leads to a lot of problems.

Pros

We get the cookies from the day before I guess

Cons

They break child labor laws. I worked a ten hour shift and never got a break at all. In fact, I usually work eight hours and I havn't ever had a break. The managers are unorganised and don't order things when they need, I was never trained (I just learned by watching my co-workers), and mess up scheduling constantly and don't take responsibility for it. I worked under the manager on my second day because she decided the night before that she didn't want to come in. I worked alone constantly.

Pros

The manager doesnt care enough to be strict.

Cons

I worked there for six months and was never granted a sick day because we were understaffed and no one could cover. I handled food and made sandwiches with Mono, Tonsillitis, and throwing up. The manager didnt care enough to stay on top of things. I was showing up at 4pm to close and the morning dishes and food prep hadnt been done. I was promised a raise as soon as I became a closer. 5 months later I was still waiting for it.
