Pros

Free 6-inch sub each shift and 50% discount The people are really kind and fun to work with on night shifts

Cons

There's a lot of cons. Since the job is PART TIME you get paid minimum wage and for the amount of work you do, it's not worth it. 14-16 year olds, you won't be making more than $9 an hour, at best. If you're ever sick and you get a medical certificate AND you have available sick leave, they still won't pay you you're entitled pay. It's always understaffed, from 7am to 4pm you only have 3 people in the store but someone always calls in so it's just 2 people through a lunch rush. Whether you're a supervisor or not, you're doing supervisor duties. You'll be opening and closing stores, juggling prep, making subs for customers, telling juniors what to do and ensuring the bread is being proofed/cooked. It's too much. The managers are too critical, you accidentally spill some lettuce from closing a sub, "you can do better, you're wasting too much! here let me close it". It's everyday... Especially after a rush and you have a headache, little passive aggressive comments will get to you. No breaks for 4 hour shifts, you get an UNPAID 30 minute break that you HAVE TO take for 5-9 hour shifts. You'll also get your break in the last two hours of your shift too. Whatever you do, don't apply even if you're desperate.

Pros

None none none none none

Cons

Don’t get paid for working over. Cover shifts but not the same attitude back when you need a slight alteration. Slave labour, appalling place to work.
