Pros

Easy Discounted food Less hectic compared to other fast food places Regular customers can be fun to interact with if you do a decent job

Cons

Working a food service job Customers can be extremely difficult to deal with when they're convinced that you're doing something incorrectly (such as not giving them enough meat or enough of any topping)when you're just following company policy

Pros

Discounted food. At my franchise location a 6 inch was $.75 and a foot-long, pizza or salad were $1.50. Some offer free 6 inch with chips or cookies plus drink per 4 hours worked. Could always have free drink in a water cup or pay $.10 for a small (21oz) cup.

Cons

SMELL! The smell after working a shift is terrible. It is a mixture of onions, oil and yeast. The grime gets on your face and into your eyes which burns. The franchisee and management staff are very hit or miss. Mine were complete miss. They can make or break the experience (aside from the smell-it is constant everywhere).

Pros

It's easy. All you have to do is make sandwiches, refill the ingredients tray, warm up frozen items, and clean up a small fast food place. Oh, and smile.

Cons

You're working at subway. The owner will try to make you work as many hours and days as possible without reaching 40 hours a week or 1000 hours a year to avoid paying benefits.
