Pros

Signify is a multinational corporation charting the path in smart lighting space, both consumer and enterprise. While this does not directly relate to IoT development group, there is some satisfaction to be possibly had from being a part of larger organization developing some interesting and impactful products and services.

Cons

Top-down, aggressive, punitive and, largely, incompetent people management style with not much to compensate for it on a job content side of things: poorly designed and implemented systems, terrible development culture, mountains of tech debt, fire drills and other such consequences to the above. No innovation to be found in this sad place. And on the compensation side: no equity save for lame share purchase plan and high deductible health insurance.

Pros

Pay is commensurate pain of daily work

Cons

Every decision no matter how minor is decided by your "Finance Business Partner" Layoffs are a constant threat Inventory levels are below customer needs Staff is overworked to do standard tasks Entire model is moving to as much "self service" as possible "Self Service" tools are adequate and often fail.
