Pros

Work life balance, unlimited sick leave

Cons

Bad job security, Favoratism( you can land into any role if you have good networking which is nothing but boot licking of your line manager. I have seen some folks who are purely non technical has got sr data engineer role whereas some good data engineers are struggling to get promotion even after 4 to 5 years. Poor hike from last 2 years. And everywhere cost cutting.

Pros

Employee value proposition - great salary and benefits Community - interact with some of the finest people in the world Adventure - depending on you and your expertise, there are opportunities to see the world.

Cons

After close to twenty years at the company, I thought that Shell played the long game in energy - delivering incredible cashflow from the markets of today while strategically investing in the opportunities of the next decade. I'm not sure that's the case anymore under current management. Shell has refocused on immediate shareholder return above all else - reducing investments in anything that is not as profitable as oil or gas or trading products today. I understand that shift from a financial perspective, but I expected more from what I thought was one of the most visionary companies in the world. That incorrect expectation is on me. I shouldn't have.

Pros

Best work life balance Availability of budget for professional skills Up skilling

Cons

1.My managers manager promoted women (who doesn't have any field experience, they hardly have 3 yrs desk experience) just because his gpa target even they are not eligible for promotion, Im not against for promoting women, but ignoring eligible experienced men hurts me, D&I is important, but just to complete GPA, promoting non eligible women is not at all acceptable. 2.Pay, company always speaking about peers when it comes to share price performance, but not comparing employees pay with same peers. Exxon and Chevrom pays were way high compared shell pay. 3. LT team encourage to ask questions, but if you ask questions which are not comfortable to answer, you will be rated low.
