      Pros

      Safe job, won't layoff during downtimes Some of the projects are quite interesting to work on People can get exposure to a lot of different technologies in the embedded domain

      Cons

      No technical leaders with lots of experience in any domain Recently removed flexi-timings while Samsung HQ in Korea switched to flexi-timing Depending on the skill level pay may not be too good No clarity on growth or what you might be doing 6 months down the line

      Pros

      - Opportunities to work with a global company with sales to 80+ countries - Working at a headquarter level with opportunities to experience multiple markets - Growth opportunities after Samsung - You definitely learn work discipline (in a positive way)

      Cons

      - Corporate culture is extremely rigid and rather "closed minded" - Your voice will not be heard - Incompetent middle management (Director level) - Work life comes before personal life (this is not by choice) - Does not function strategically (lack strategic thinking and approaches)

      Pros

      - good compensation (after very small or even zero taxes) - lot's of bonuses: company provides free or reduced rate accommodation, transport, dinners, sport facilities etc - interesting projects, steep learning curve for a fresh graduate

      Cons

      - hard to balance between work and private life - not much knowledge sharing unless you know Korean - promotion is limited - technical level of engineers may vary
