Cons

-Company is starting to get so big that the entrepreneurial atmosphere it had is disappearing -Promotion rates are becoming slower

Pros

-great standard compensation, excellent opportunities to earn more by hitting bonus targets -caliber of colleagues is very good in every department, although deeply entrenched politicking distorts promotion decisions -market leading software with near-constant innovation keeps life fresh and interesting

Cons

-happy to hire women, but unless you know someone, prepare to work twice as hard for half the recognition. From what I saw, time to promotion is at least 1.5x longer. -impossible to escape the office politics, although the quantity and dramatics of office romances are entertaining to behold.

Pros

Better than average salary, great downtown location, lots of intelligent coworkers. Good company to have on your resume.

Cons

While working at salesforce, I got the sense that management knows the right thing to say, but ultimately doesn't act in a way that's consistent with their message. For example, there's a huge emphasis on employee growth but it seems more attention is spent retaining "old guard" than giving other staff opportunities to grow. And despite appearing on "best employers" lists, the hours are pretty hard and the equity package (RSUs/options) is one of the worst in the Valley.
