Pros

You will learn very quickly what matters most to you in life and what not to do as a leader.

Cons

Sage is a place that could be great but is too consumed with ‘leaders’ competing and prioritizing their egos off the back of the real workers. We’re currently being subjected to a Canadian takeover at every level. The Canadians are only promoting and hiring one another, while icing out truly talented and well qualified colleagues in the US. It’s a disaster that’s been in the making as the US has carried the weight of growth targets globally for years. Now their Canadian leader is in power, resulting in blatant countrymen favoritism. These are the typical dynamics at Sage. A lack of psychological safety, toxicity, a general state of being unsafe because very few are genuine and can be trusted. To top this off, the constant demands are nothing short of absurd and unrealistic. It’s as if all have selective memory loss of the poor YoY decisions by ‘leaders’ they elected and those they gave a job on a silver undeserving plater or kept on the books for far too many years. Good people have left, will continue leaving, and are planning their escape daily. We are escaping an environment where ‘leaders” gossip constantly about what should be confidential HR matters - nothing you disclose is ever safe and will be spread snd weaponized against you. Their ‘leaders’ are more concerned with power tripping off work that the real talent is delivering vs truly leading, cultivating safe environments and elevating talent worthy of carrying the honor of leading people. What I’ve shared is only the tip of the iceberg. My advice is run and never look back. Your talent, sanity, loved ones will thank you for choosing to walk away from an environment that will deplete, devalue and dispose of you in the most dishonorable manner that you can imagine.

Thank you for your feedback, which we’re disappointed to read does not reflect the culture we strive to foster here at Sage. We are committed to creating an environment where colleagues feel safe, valued, and supported. That includes continuing to strengthen psychological safety, transparency, and trust across all levels of the organization. Your feedback has been shared with our leadership team in North America, and they’ve provided the following response: We recognize how important psychological safety and a positive day-to-day experience are for our colleagues. Across the region, leaders continue to focus on creating an environment where people feel supported, heard, and able to do their best work. We’ve seen ongoing improvements in culture, alongside practical actions taken by leaders to enhance ways of working and colleague experience. While we won’t go into extensive detail here, colleagues are encouraged to explore internal resources or speak directly with their leaders to learn more about the support and initiatives available. We would also like to reassure candidates and colleagues that all recruitment processes across North America are conducted fairly, ethically, and in line with our robust standards. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination and remain committed to creating an inclusive and respectful workplace for everyone. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.
