Pros

Colleagues at each offices - always friendly and very much a family atmosphere. Disciplines and service offering - very diverse, but not all are utilised and celebrated enough, focus only tends to be on the “more profitable” areas of business Support departments - IT, HR, Finance do what they can under challenging circumstances & terrible leadership. Employee Benefits - Some of them are quite good like the long service award, private medical and annual leave, but some aren’t very fair and have outdated policies

Cons

Workload balance - not enough is done to manage workloads and resourcing issues across the business. It means people at some locations are busier than others, to dangerous levels and can’t delegate work on to others, either because there are too many junior/analyst level employees or not enough training is provided for others to be comfortable in taking extra work on. Communication from the top level down is poor, we never know the status or details of business plans, until things have already happened or so far in progress, no consultation with employees can take place. Everything is so secretive when we deserve openess and honesty! Like with redundancies and potential acquisitions where they could change the makeup of the business! Communication across the business sectors, disciplines, departments can be quite clumsy and not well thought out, often times very email heavy or “newsletter” based, which can make it hard to keep track of or worth paying attention to. Management board - particularly the UK Management Team is all male, so no diversity there, they make some questionable decisions and prioritise profits over staff morale. We hardly ever see them or speak to them. When we do, it’s promoting something we have been forced to adopt from Paris, false promises or concepts that never come to fruition. Poor salaries and bonus payouts - benefits those at the top of the food chain really. Lack of gender or pay equality - needs serious work and investment! Lead person who “manages” Health & Safety for the business has tunnel vision and only focuses on Engineering type of H&S. Just bizarre views on how H&S in a Consultancy business should work. UK has no control or say on group led initiatives or systems - we’re pretty much forced to adopt them from Paris without much consideration to disruption in operations or staff morale and so on. Some offices & other areas of the business are very outdated and still use MVA resources!

Pros

Systra MVA has a very good name in the market. Being an MNC when you apply for another company, the interview process will be helpful.

Cons

Very bad administration. HR team is a group of money grubbers.
