Pros

Good company and it worth to consider it. I would recommend this company to everybody who wants to have intensive work and learning. The good thing is that your career path and progress depends on you and your performance. More effort you put more outcome you have. Great international employee support and benefits. This company gave me a lot of knowledge that helped me to move to my current position in another Company. Salary is good and competitive. I progressed from grade 7 to 13. Good company to make money especially working international in fields.

Cons

There is good rule with SLB that your long plan goals should match company goals. It means if you need to move in 2 years you better start packing your things. The management behavior us changing from location to location. Work life is intensive and once again it is company unofficial policy to push you to your limit and see if you adjust to it or break. If you adjust then they are pushing more, until you can't take it any more. And then you get some slack. Not the best local health benefits. And remember this is service company and attitude is to provide best service to its Client and some times you need to work really hard for it.

Pros

- Structured training plan. *Relatively* self paced advancement.

Cons

- The *relatively* self paced advancement is good and bad. I say bad because it is required to attend various schools to get your first raise. For this you are at the mercy of class availability and workload for your department. On the plus side SLB will not limit you to attending only local classes, so if there is a class available in another country, and it is relative to the work you do at your shop, then you can apply to attend that one.
