Pros

It is a place where employees are treated very well and respected. We have an amazing reputation and you can really grow your career. You can work in many places around the world and the culture is unlike any other place I have ever worked. A housekeeper is respected as much as a manager.

Cons

Hospitlaity is an industry with long hours and odd schedules sometimes but it is worth it.

Pros

Great Benefits, comfortable corporate culture, and free cafeteria food! Additionally, there are always opportunities to work within other departments to learn and grow. Everybody treats guests and other employees as fellow ladies and gentleman. Uniforms are washed and maintained on site and no additional cost. Discounts for Marriotts and Ritz Carltons are available from day 1 to all employees. Ability to transfer easily to other hotels. Has an effective employee promise/protection plan that provides recourse for employees.

Cons

Pay not as good as other comparable hotels. Tipped positions can offset this however. Can include very random hours including late night, weekends, and long shifts.

Pros

MOney are good and packages are very good

Cons

Ritz- Carlton Management are very weak, they takes lot of pride in their job and they lack of Humblness. ALthought they reward al lot employees for the jobe done, they don't reward an employee for doing " really" a good job. Reward at the end of the day is given to everyone, including who doesn't deserve it! It turn to be feack and not natural. Ritz also has very stingy owner, and frequently the tools for a good managemnet of teh hotel, are not quite there. Very old forniture, computers, offices, equipment, kicthens,etc... Where I was in Dubai we were sharing 1 computer with 5 F&B Outlet. Other porperties doesn't even give e-mail access to Department Head, that says it all, about how the information are shared! LOL Ritz Carlton is the worst company I've ever worked for, and i wouldn't go back to work for them not even being payd double the salary i make now.
