Pros

- In-store team were lovely (managers very supportive and other sales assistants were all very lively and bubbly - ensured a lovely working atmosphere), - The 'selling ceremony' was very detailed and intricate which allowed for a consistent, high-quality 'luxury' service amongst stores all over the world, - Wide learning scope: make-up, skincare, etc. - The philosophies behind the products are beautiful, and so are the products, which the company always works to improve - Constant training and regulation of service levels (through mystery shopper).

Cons

- Pay was very low for what was expected of us, but it was also inconsistent across sales assistants and stores, - There were unrealistic targets being set by the head office, - Highly unorganised office team, who seemed to always blame the in-store teams for everything even if the fault was not ours, - Whilst other stores have separate VM/Stockroom/Shopfloor/Cleaning teams, we were expected to do all of that ourselves which (again) was not reflected in the pay, - Lack of appreciation from the head office and a lot of pressure being thrown at in-store team nonetheless, - Strange pricing (e.g. £ prices were the same as € - even though the pound has a higher value).

Pros

I did work with a lovely team & have met some wonderful customers who have made my day, I enjoy the products & you do get discounts.

Cons

They are very target based which is fair enough but you could be meeting your weekly targets but not hitting ATV & they are breathing down your neck to improve, which made me stress which ended up dropping my performance more because I felt anxious with every customer because I needed them to spend a certain amount or I'd be getting pulled out for not performing & comparing you to your colleague whose doing great whilst saying "I'm not comparing you but". It also created a sense of competition within the team because everyone would want the "good" customers so they had a high ATV, even had people on the team stealing customers from each other. The pay is odd, I was getting paid more in outer London than someone getting paid in Westfield! Also I work every single weekend both days unless I book it off but they want me to book it off a month in advance. What annoyed me the most is that the assistant manager & manager have at least one day off every weekend if not both days. Them working a full weekend is a rare thing as it is a rare thing for me to have a weekend off. Activation rain or shine they want someone outside continuously, but of course the assistant manager & manager didn't participate. It's just the most stressful job I've ever had & it has sucked a lot of confidence from me, I have been sick with worry, even having dreams about having bad days at work because I'm not selling enough per customer.
