Pros

RB is rich in diversity, both culturally and nationality-wise. Folks that you will meet across functions could literally be from anywhere - India, Turkey, Aussie, UK, Brazil, you name it. Promotions are not structured or by class year of entry - rather, largely merit based or some other measure not tied to years on the role. Pace is pretty demanding, which is perfect for A-types fresh out of b-school that are looking to conquer the world. Work culture-wise, there are many different sub-cultures across brand teams and verticals. Some are fun. Some are not. It's the luck of the draw.

Cons

Company is very short-term focused, with in-year results being paramount. This leads to very tactical considerations vs. broader brand building equity initiatives that won't pay out until much later. Hence, pure marketers who do not desire the general management route should pass. Agencies seem to require extensive hand-holding, possibly because RB's rep scares away the competent ones. Despite what others say about RB regarding poor treatment of employees, RB does on occasion roll out the kid-gloves and keeps non-productive employees on payroll for months on end w/o any action. (This is actually a con because who wants to work with free-loaders that only distract the team with their jibjab and sit on their asses all day). The blend of free-loaders and handful of superstars results in an average talent pool. In shooting for out-performance, not a great formula for success.

Pros

Get some free products and more vacation days than most companies

Cons

Horrible atmosphere, no growth. Everyone has an attitude, and rather than trying to work and fix the problem everyone complains that it's not their issue or complains about adding too much work on their plate. Also, this company has no loyalty to their employees.

Pros

Multicultural exposure, Well respected Brands, Career Growth Opportunities, Great Bonuses (Normally 20% - 40% for sales managers), solid strategic sales plans

Cons

Horrible work/life balance, Great bonuses come at a price - massive work load, Promotions are based on performance but workaholics generally have the upper hand, summer hours offered but many can't take due to work load and fear of being labeled a slacker, World HQ in Britain has a very tight control on US business; especially dealing with product innovation and launch decisions, Hiring managers working in US favor others from their home country - special projects & career opportunities, too lean on manpower, Reckitt flies by the seat of it's pants; many new items are presented to customers prematurely and then canceled; making reps look like fools, constant (over)-confrontation and brow beating is encouraged but gets old
