Pros

descent benefits, flexible timings, exposure of latest techonology

Cons

- Big communication gap between management & engineers. Management signs up too many projects beyond the execution limits of its engineers causing too much work pressure. As a result, you are expected to work late nights and weekends without exceptions. - There are too many mid level managers whose primary job is to conduct meetings through out the day, where only job done is collecting the status. Half of your day time goes into attending the meetings. - There is lot of politics & blame game across different teams.

Pros

Generous to employees. Great corporate policies. Mindful of ethics. Lots of freedom for employees. Overall, the official corporate stance 'Innovate, Execute & Partner' is awesome.

Cons

Excessive email volume. Multi-tasking is encouraged (and seems to be an excuse for not planning). More than 80% of Saturdays turn out to be working days - mostly to please and service Asian customers. Too much work-load. Frequent sparse work-load stretched over 12 hour days. Most jobs require 24-hour support with a 12-hour shift handled from India which needs untimely conference calls for tracking. All the cons come from a largely Indian mindset, temperament and work-culture.

Pros

There are lots of very smart people. They provide very good benefits and are a good community citizen (for now). If you're on the right project (especially if it's a manager's pet project), work is great and you'll get the opportunity for advancement.

Cons

Unless you're on the right projects, there's no career advancement. Too many managers have reached their "Peter Principle" levels and are afraid of taking risks or mistakes.
