Pros
I would have to say the best reason to work for PricewaterhouseCoopers is the experience one receives. As a Big 4 global firm, there are many different opportunities for employees to find the right role in the firm. Additionally, the ability to transfer throughout the country and the world is great. That allows for flexibility when personal circumstances change. Finally, while it is a person's job to ensure their career is meeting goals and progressing as one would like, the managers and partners act as coaches, providing guidance and answers on everything from conflicts in the office, or career development.
Cons
The biggest downside of working at PricewaterhouseCoopers would be the hours during busy season. While the hours I have worked have not been as bad as others, I can see that it is a drain on the person and the person's relationships. Basically, you don't exist to anyone outside the firm for a few months. This is especially troublesome if you are in a relationship or have a family. PwC says they are for work/life balance, which to some extent is true, but if something has to get out, you will be expected to drop everything (and I mean everything) to get it done.
