If you're favored, you'll be rewarded. It is hardly based on how hard you work. Come review time, it just matters who likes you and if they will pull for you.

This is tempered by the reduced chargeable hour requirement, but this is still not an eight hour a day job. Another problem is that, as a large organization, PricewaterhouseCoopers is slow to change or perfect asinine administrative tasks. The annual review process, the various human resource projects, and their ilk take far too long to be helpful. Instead, these processes take up one's valuable time but add nothing of value to the work environment.
