Pros
Pfizer was a great company to work for in the past, but difficult times have changed the environment. They had fairly good technical talent and funding to do some very interesting projects. The size of the company provided financial resources that weren't available in many other environments. Comp was also above average.
Cons
IT budgets were cut more than 33% in 2012. Layoffs are so abundant that it is extremely difficult to get anything done. Innovative work is extremely limited in these difficult times. Political postering and bad behavior have increased under the recent financial pressure.
