Pros

The company had a strong teamwork culture. There used to be a weekly company-wide meeting/assembly for announcement. Employees are encouraged to speak and present during these meetings. Management encourages employee to develop and learn, eg. providing incentives for employees to read.

Cons

Like other pharma companies, Pfizer is focusing on major markets like China, leaving the Hong Kong office to be the execution hub mainly in sales and marketing. HQ is cutting budget for most of the initiatives in HK.

Pros

Working in big Pharma is still a really good place to be in the overall scheme of things. The salary is good and I hope it stays that way. The people that work here from diverse backgrounds and the benefits are excellent. Stock price is cheap right now

Cons

The company constantly goes for the homerun swing in terms of their strategy. Sell the consumers health division of the company was simply wrong and hurts us each and every quarter, as J&J is enhanced. Pfizer seems to acquire solid companies (Warner-Lambert and Pharmacia) and dismantle them by decimating communities and the workplaces that at one time supported it. The morale is very low in all of their plants. There will be very few, if any manufacturing plants left in the US. PGE (Engineering) is run like a mafia and if you are not one of them, you will not advance. There seems to be a disconnect with 'respect for people' in that regard - the NY Soprano bully attitude gets old really fast. Pfizer thinks they can outsource everything, from manufacturing to R&D. IThe company apporaches problems as if there is an 'Easy Button' to hit - things aren't black and white.

Pros

No pros, just a lot of cons, specially at this site. All older employees have their kids and family working in other departments. The number of politics at this facility is nonsensical and highly toxic due to legacy employees. Every SLT member has a son or daughter working in the company and by passing processes. doing nothing and minting money. Management is toxic within the plant and specially above site. They have layoffs every other year so everyone lives in fear. During my time there did not meet one single person who has any good thing to say about anything.

Cons

Perhaps they get the award for being the the most miserable vial work environment for all levels in the organization, High attrition rates and low pay are the hallmarks, new employees dont see their supervisors for weeks. The previous site head was a unprofessional coward and a racist leader. Created an enviroment of fear, favoritism, and nepotism, He was endorsed by his superiors so this is company culture. I dont think there are any good people there, majority are incompetent people who now have their children and family working here too.
