Pros

Good pay, good benefits. Good product and huge potential for growth. Great resources for sales information. A lot of good people who care about what they do.

Cons

Growth is limited due to meeting region targets instead of localized targets. Direction from the top at times is unrealistic. Don't coorelate market trend to volume plans...markets are trending down, Pepsico's goal trends up. Difficult to maintain customer relations when forcing product into stores it doesn't belong. Key Accounts seems to have weak relationships with buyers. Micromanaged spending. Pepsico does no want money being spent. MEM department is very weak. Too many people leaving the company...little scary.

Pros

The company employs some great people. Easy to get overtime pay, has great health insurance and 401k benefits. Also a great way to stay in shape.

Cons

It is hard to balance work life with personal life, especially when you are working 60 to 70 hours every week. If you are a workaholic and don't mind having a very tired, seldom available for very long self outside of work...this job definitely rewards its employees.

Pros

So much room to move up, or horizontally. You really get out what you put in. Tons of projects that you can grind out and get results from. There is every kind of job imaginable, in a lot of places around the world.

Cons

Cost cutting hits hard, and you can tell. It's all about slimming down the operation and doing more with less. This is what gets me. I believe in spending money to make money, but PepsiCo does not subscribe to that theory. Very long hours, tons of responsibility. Depending on how well your department is run, you'll love it or hate it. My department has been run into the ground, very unhappy people, backlog of training, unstructured, just a miracle how it still produces product. Culture depends largely on where the job location is. I moved from the city to a town in the mountains, and people act like i'm an alien.
