Terrible

Pros

The pay is not bad for a a restaurant job. And you can get plenty of hours being that they underhire and overwork.

Cons

Everything else. They treat their employees like dogs, having them fetch items on command and never giving them the slightest satisfaction or gratification for a job well done. They never have quite enough employees, so you get almost an average of 50 hours a week. They treat every new corporate policy like it's a secret that you are unworthy of knowing. And still berate you when you fail to follow them. There is absolutely nothing you can do that is good enough. Nothing. You can be the best working they have had in years, bit you will never know that by the way try treat you. You will start to think that your worthless and you must be doing a terrible job. But you aren't.

Pros

You get free food every day you work 20% discount on days you dont or for friends/family Decent Starting wage for fast food Flexible hours

Cons

You do a lot of "female dog" work. You're basically a slave to the manager and you get looked down upon by the customers who treat you like dog crap. A lot of cleaning and staying busy

Pros

With their near-constant turnover--even in this depressed economy--it's not difficult landing a job there, But, apart from this, I am hard-presed to come up with a "best reason" for working at Panda Express!

Cons

The Cherngs' greatest achievement is in the area of image management. They want to project an image of the chain's being one big, happy family, with a caring. paternalistic management. The reality, however, is that it's just one more fast-food operation, with the focus on sweating the employees. Being Oriental myself, I must say that I also resent their characterization of what they sell as being "gourmet Chinese food." In all honesty, it's mass-produced, steam-table stuff, overly sweetened, and, Lord knows, overly salted. My parents would never recognize it as Chinese!
