Pros

great benefits after 6 months. Free food while on shift. competitive wages.

Cons

Their philosophy is a great idea but not put into action. They say if you have open availability and are a hard worker you can move forward. so far I've put everything I have into working hard and impressing the upper management. I have 30 years experience working in restaurants and my hope was to move forward with Panda Express hearing how great of a company they are. So far I'm stuck cooking over a wok for 9 hours straight. no management has attempted to open that door for me to start management training. So far I've received a $1 raise only because we are supposed to paying for our own parking. I work at a college. I have a ruptured tenden in my elbow, developed severe carpol tunnel in the same arm and a heel spur.

Pros

Good experience on a grill and in a fast paced environment. Some of the managers can be really amazing. Free meal while on shift.

Cons

Hahaha, oh boy, where should I begin? Let's start off with the fact that the company likes to move it's managers around, and when they did it in my area, it was right around the holidays. So, during the busy christmas season, we all had to learn a new manager. It feels like corporate doesn't really care about its employees. The employee handbooks don't cover everything that they probably should so sometimes situations come up where you're just stuck and have to deal with it on your own. At my location the training for new employees was very inconsistent because new employees were not trained by the manager. Oh, and also, at my location it felt like the manager was never there. Maybe it's because my location was a panda express and hibachi san and we only had one manager for both sides, but the manager was definitely not there enough.
