The manager was not an inviting person at all and stared at me while working the majority of my shift. There is a 3-5 shift trial period which makes no sense because who can show their best work while still learning the job? He would critique every thing I would do from wiping table and sweeping to yelling welcome when guest arrived. My last few shifts I made sure to watch and listen to everyone else working and NO ONE yelled welcome or thank you every time, so why is he on my back? He said throughout the 5 day trial I only gave 30% which is an extreme exaggeration because only giving 30% means that I just clocked in and did nothing the rest of my shift. I am the type of person where if I am getting paid to do a job, I’m going to do it. What surprised me the most was that my last shift I was told “you’ll fit right in with the Panda culture” but now I’m being told that I only showed 30%.
