Pros

-Above minimum wage pay -The company encourages healthy lifestyles, happy living, and self growth -Laid back to a degree -I personally enjoyed my coworkers -Fun job for high energy, happy people -The regulars (customers) that are kind, polite, and chummy make it worth working there. -Cleaning expectations are high (nice clean stores)

Cons

-Absolutely NO work-life balance. Part time really means 30/40 hours and anything less you are worthless to them. -Management does not support education. Balancing college and working at Panda is IMPOSSIBLE! Many coworkers (those who were PICs and higher positions) failed their classes due to management's lack of support. They worked tireless hours. TERRIBLE JOB FOR STUDENTS! -Expect a 50-70 hour work week if you are a cook or person in charge. (two of my coworkers work over 60 hours as cooks) -High stress, fast paced. -Cleaning expectations are high (a lot of work for the pay) -Overtime is frowned upon. Some people work off the clock. -If you are in charge, the company expects you to love to eat Panda, have an athletic figure along with an extremely healthy lifestyle, adore work, and not care about your diminishing personal life. The company inspects management's cars to make sure that they are representing the company in a clean, respectable manner. They get into your face if you smoke and demand you quit. Anything dirty or impure about you (things that should be personal and none of the company's business) will be pointed out and demanded to be changed . You are Panda property if you are management. You might as well sleep in your car in the parking lot, because you will almost never be home. -Schedules are made SATURDAY NIGHT. I never have any clue when I am working. The latest the schedule came out was Monday of that work week. Management does not care about your availability. -Management is under prepared to say the least. When I was a high school student, they called me during school hours to come in and cover a shift. I'm sorry for the long list of cons. I honestly wish I was making this stuff up, but all of this is the Panda Express I work for. Or Panda Express in the Midwest anyways. I am really hoping this is not the case everywhere.

Pros

You get one free meal per day. That is about the only thing that I can see is good about working at this place.

Cons

EVERYTHING. I had two in interviews and a final, third interview that they call the "on job preview." I have a master's degree so I expected to be learning about balancing accounts, reviewing gain and loss, etc. I was totally wrong. As a manager, you are essentially nothing but a glorified cashier/server. All I did the whole time I was there was serve food and clean. There were no "management" aspects involved. The "trainer" was also extremely rude. We were trained for a total of five minutes before we were expected to serve customers, know the entire menu, plate sizes, etc. I was yelled at for mundane things such as "not holding the spoon properly." This place was a complete waste of my time. I would not recommend this job to anyone unless you are a high school/college student trying to make some money. If you have a degree, go elsewhere.

Pros

Decent compensation, the pay starts at 9.60. Free meal every shift, but you have to eat it there.

Cons

Poor management, rate of overturn is really high. Employees aren't super motivated.
