Pros

It's a huge company. If you're competent you've got a safe job.

Cons

The fast pace of acquisitions means that it's impossible to get promoted -- Vice Presidents from smaller companies are brought in as Vice Presidents at Oracle while long time Oracle employees leading larger organizations with more responsibility are passed over. The company hasn't done a salary review in two years.

Pros

Talented senior management. Good experience to put on your resume. Lack cultural diversity. Long release cycle, allowing work-life balance at certain stages of the cycle.

Cons

Innovation is not encouraged on the ERP side of the business. Often, product decisions are driven by middle management's own agenda (ie their own job security). Middle management that comes from a customer support background do not know how to run a product management team. They have no sense of what "market-driven" product means. They only know how to run a team like a support organizaton. The reason why these managers still have a job is because R&D spends most of the time fixing bugs and doing customer support. What does that say about the product quality? There is no room for innovation although the company claims to be innovative. Alignment of strategies within the company is always a problem.

Pros

1. iflex means onsite. Thatz where u learn the tricks of the trade. 2. Customer interaction. Handling customers of different geographies, language, business styles. you get to see only here. 3. Knowledge in Banking will improve in a large way and also knowing the way things done in different countries is all an addon in your experience.

Cons

1. Very Long Workhours. 2. Balance between personal and professional life depends totally on the project you are put on. 3. Technical skills limited to use in making the product. Can lead to staleness in the long run. 4. Project Planning and execution of tasks is haphazardly and needs a long way to catch up to meet industry standards.
