Pros

-Modern and tech-savvy -Pro-remote work (after listening to employees who pushed back on return to work)

Cons

-Mass confusion about how things should look and feel under a confusing blended company scenario (working with Kayak.com so closely) -The leadership tried to be diverse and inclusive but was instead filled with snide and snippy individuals

Pros

Really great benefits. A week is given off during the summer and a week off in between Christmas and NYE (outside of the 5 weeks PTO). 4 Months Mat/Pat leave. Really great work/life balance for sales.

Cons

No upward mobility. Zero. That is probably the biggest complaint from everyone. They just let go the entire inside sales team that drove millions in rev. Red flag! The new CEO - Debby has never worked in the restaurant industry and her decisions show it. The competition is KILLING OpenTable and they just don't know how to handle it. Oh - and if you're not WOKE or a hard core democrat... don't come work for this company. A dedicated slack channel was created so people could cry about Roe v Wade. Monthly pronoun trainings and so much more.

Great benefits but leadership seems currently lost

Pros

OpenTable has incredible benefits, all added up they provide employees around five weeks of PTO. They're always looking for ways to improve their employee's well-being and genuinely do care about their employee's mental health as well as their work-life balance. The people and culture that make up the company are the best parts of the company. There was not one person I did not enjoy working with.

Cons

The current direction of OpenTable seems to be lost. Management and especially the executive staff have not been transparent with their companies with the direction they're taking the company. Moreover, lots of competing companies have entered OpenTable's market and this lack of direction has momentarily crippled the company in what seems to be a loss of market share. The service OpenTable provides remains superior to its competitors but if the executive staff does not get a handle on things soon the company will continue to falter.
