Blind loyalty and total dedication are rewarded, not performance

Pros

- used to have some of the best processes and systems to manage product development and launch in a fast paced environment. The problem is that so many layers were added that now it has become a byzantine bureaucracy where people spend more time focusing on ticking boxes rather than fixing problems. - For management positions the pay is above industry average. But considering the working hours, including during holidays and often weekends and the late night conference calls, you're expected to clock-in a 60 hour week... - some great people who try to make do under tremendous pressure

Cons

The entire company is like our solar system, with the chairman as the Sun at the center, and regional / functional heads each being a planet, with small moons on which you'll be working. If you're lucky enough to be far away, on a moon of Neptune or Uranus, you'll be fine. If you're close to the center planets, you're entire life will be influenced by the whims and tantrums of the Sun and your own planet... - late night conference calls (mandatory) - no disconnection allowed during holidays - performance is not rewarded, only blind loyalty and dedication - extremely high-pressure environment - some of the worst Regional/Country managers you'll ever come across in your career, liars, cheaters, dishonests, all your successes are theirs, all the failures are yours. The CEO of the Energy division is one of those, he made it that far by being an bottom-kissing psychopath.

Pros

Pays weekly, Very clean environment, can wear shorts. Most upper management great.

Cons

Pay scale starts low, management treating employees like trash, plan on working weekends several months in a row mandatory if your on a busy line. Temps get treated pretty bad by management and taken advantage of by fulltime employees all the time, temps also get treated poorly by Temp recruiter. No outside/family life due to working alot of 12s with little to no notice. Once seen a whole line walk out from a CEO decision that isn't in the plant but once every 3-6 months. Only hires twice a year, they stat quarterly but takes HR 3-6months to process and hire someone. Temp insurance doesn't even meet standards.

Pros

Large, global organization with promising growth on the horizon. Clean and safe work environment in the manufacturing plants. Ability to learn and grow in the organization. Excellent benefits offerings.

Cons

Imabalanced workloads and organizational structure in some departments leads to poor work/life balance for many individuals in the organization. Time management is a challenge because there are too many mandated, long, and unproductive meetings. Leadership in the organization is focused on the wrong things at many times. Some leaders are hiring individuals into management positions who are arrogant and unqualified for their roles. Many good people are all leaving due to poor management. Poor/almost non-existent variable compensation structure.
