Business Outlook
Pros
Novartis is a stable company, which, thanks to its heavy Swiss influence, is not prone to making sudden decisions one way or another. This means that rapid changes in direction are rare. The senior management have made a number of good strategic decisions over the years: e.g. expanding generics, properly funding pipeline development, not buying companies for the sake of it (yes, that's you I'm talking to, Pfizer and Sanofi). Flexible working is strongly encouraged.
Cons
Stock performance isn't the best: the company seems to be penalized for any negative news, but never rewarded for positive news.
