Novartis has an excellent base salary potential. There are many different specialties and an excellent pipeline in specialty meds. Overall good experience.

Cons

Limited pipeline in the primary care division led to several reorganizations. Bonuses were not paid out at the right time occasionally and goals not set timely.

Poor advancement opportunities, top management disconnected from field force. Pipeline no longer robust. Poor raises, stock has to vest. Ride alongs

Pros

Great Benefits, insurance, compensation, etc all extremely fair. Vacation and personal time are always respected unless there is a true emergency. Management very understanding about family obligations.

Cons

Not a lot of creative freedom. Given a lot of marching orders and expected to control many uncontrollable areas of the job. A lot of disorganization around national communication. I think they are trying to resolve these issues.
