Pros

ESPP has strong growth What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Cons

Nvidia is my 3rd job and by far the worst. Every week I must account for very hour of my time and tell them what test I debugged for 0.2 days.

Pros

Other engineers are highly qualified. Management is sane. Work makes sense. Fast paced. NVIDIA measures itself against and competes with the best. Competes in many areas giving a lot to learn about. Honest communication from management (improved in the last year or so). Projects ship on time and make performance. CEO is martian smart.

Cons

Many find work/life balance challenging. Project cancellations in speculative areas. Spotty infrastructure. Difficult to get new features into GPUs. Time from idea to Best Buy is two years. Direct communication with CEO can be "intense". This is a common problem with semiconductor companies, but it takes a phenomenal amount of work to do the tiniest little thing. Offices crowded and decaying (cost cutting).

Pros

The work life balance is good for the reason above. Work will mostly come in a waves but for the most part it is an easy 9-5 job. Everyday you can relive the scene from "The Expert". *Google it* Subsidized dinner - $5 off of any meal

Cons

The management is dysfunctional with no goal Zero transparency on future products and revenue No one takes responsibility of their actions and focuses on blaming the next guy down corporate ladder. The smart and creative engineers leave within 2 years of joining Strong emphasis on collecting data that doesn't make any sense Politics drives this company. This place is toxic and poor for new graduates The motto of speed of light is ridiculous. This is just a term used by management when they realized when the project encounters a major setback because they sacrificed too much quality for unrealistic deadlines and cost. Typically results in engineers (individual contributors) to work on the weekend.
