Pros

Great people (non-management) and opportunity to work with satellite international companies.

Cons

Absolutely zero work life balance, almost felt like boot camp - where the company strives to break smart, talented, dedicated employees until they have breakdowns. HR was well aware this was occurring, and never addressed the managers / director who were promoting this type of pressure. It seemed that keeping the teams under staffed and overloading employees with more work than is possible to complete, this saved the company money. (money saved = bonuses to upper management) The full timers did not get overtime pay, yet worked close to 70 hours a week (if not more). The salary was below competitors in the area and raises were between 1-3% per year. Employees that work hard seem to be dismissed, where the "yes men/women" who won't speak up, get rewarded.

Pros

Most of the employees in Technology are really good-hearted, hard-working individuals with a common goal of providing quality technology services. Many really intelligent technologists that know their company and brand well.

Cons

Since about mid-2016, technology leadership has taken a turn south. There is no more company loyalty from executive leadership. Extensive internal politics that have lead to executive leadership saying one thing, but acting in an opposite way that is unethical and violates the credo of NBCUniversal and Comcast. Executive leadership has appointed people who are "Yes Men" because free-thinking is frowned upon. Morals, ethics, and standards have been completely thrown out the window.

A Nightmare

Pros

There are no pros to working here anymore. A combination of horrible management and Comcast has ruined this company.

Cons

A very hostile work environment filled with discrimination and harassment. If you are efficient, work hard and want to learn then this is not the place for you. Extremely cut throat. Instead of focusing on learning and growing you have to worry about who is trying to make you look bad. A political nightmare. I believe the White House to be an easier place to work. The politics at NBCUniversal is on another level. Certain employees are allowed 70+ hours a week which can include working from home and showing up any time of the day. Meanwhile others who abide by all the rules and work hard are getting let go because of "cut backs".
