Pros

Good products and smart people.

Cons

1. Brainwashing of Sales culture. 2. Some individuals have no idea of what are Software, Project Management or just Management. It is very scary! 3. Salaries are just in the average. People think that they are really good. Sorry, they aren’t. 4. Not many benefits. Sorry again, I don’t think that “PC or Mac” or “Annual Meetup” are benefits. 5. Brainwashing part II, MuleSoft “has” its core values: - "Be fearless", BUT speaking up and feedback were provided but the management simply ignore them. - "Own it", BUT I can see that the only people who "own it" are always the same. A lot of issues are created internally by MuleSoft (not even the Customers or prospects) and some of the others are fixing it. - "Make it awesome", yes, the technical folks are trying to make it awesome BUT nobody really care about it. - "Be a good human", the workplace was previously great and is now very unpleasant. Some people (fortunately few) are assertive and are not listening to the others. 6. Hiring process can be complex and long. A lot of good candidates realize that it is not worth it and drop during the process Finally, I have seen a lot smart techie people leaving. A Technology company without these folks is an empty shell.

This was extremely tough to read, as our goal is that every person feels challenged and supported. It seems like there is a disconnect with our core values, which are the foundation of who we hire and what we strive to be. I wonder how there can be such a mismatch, and while you mention that you provided feedback to leadership, I would urge you to come find me and let’s talk through what has brought you down so much. I have utmost confidence and pride in the team we have built in Sydney—our latest engagement survey shows that Muleys 21:1 would recommend MuleSoft as a great place to work—but I understand that there are exceptions. I hope you’ll find the time to connect with me in person. Regards Will

It’s hard for me to read a review like this. Our team in Sydney is small and tight-knit, so I’m not sure how there was a miss like this with your experience. In fact, in our latest annual engagement survey taken just a few months ago, we achieved the highest engagement score yet, with Muleys recommending MuleSoft as a great place to work 21:1. I completely understand that this may not have been true for you, however, this type of review only hurts the colleagues that you enjoyed working with. If you have any other feedback you would like to share, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly and understand the areas where we can improve in Sydney. Feel free to reach out to me at anytime. Regards Will

Pros

It still feels like a startup, even after the IPO and 1200 employees. Yearly trip to San Diego for a whole company meetup. Top level execs engagement. Meals 3 times a week - snacks - breakfast. "Essentially good humans" hired, it shows in the friendly environment.

Cons

It's all about the US, other regions are overlooked. If you're an engineer, this is the company for you. If not, it's not that amazing. You expect hard working, but there's too much stress due to underemployment.

I appreciate you sharing your experience, and I am very pleased that overall, you are confident in leadership and enjoying our positive company culture. Some of your critical points of feedback are concerning to me. A cornerstone of our culture is that anyone can and should speak up to Muleys at every level if they see something that is not right, and bring solutions so we can try to fix it together. My team and I, as well as the rest of leadership, are always willing to receive critical feedback and strive for constant improvement. That is what radical candor is all about and it is the only way we can improve and build a great company together, so please feel free to come to me at anytime to delve deeper into your feedback.
