Pros

Competitive salary, Good Healthcare, Stable company, Weekly catered lunches and snacks, Working with good people, Opportunities to further your education and skill set

Cons

Overly bureaucratic, Top down communication is seen as the most valuable, leadership can be dismissive of constructive criticism, Leadership micromanages, no work from home policy and if you have a legitimate reason to work from home you’ll get interrogated about it. The company is a little too worried about employees that seemingly want to take advantage of the system. There are too many meetings and the solution to every problem is yet another meeting. The culture is forced.

I appreciate the candid feedback, and I’m sorry to see that you’re feeling this way about our culture and the team. I hear what you’re saying about some of these elements. We are always striving to be better and everything is open and on the table to change. I would love the opportunity to talk through your perspective in person so we can jointly address your concerns. There are a lot of people at MuleSoft who want to hear from you, including myself, because our job is to identify and fix issues, not just in our products and processes, but also in our culture. It’s a “get it done” culture, and we tell everyone in the hiring process that we don’t work from home because we believe that collaboration and getting things done together as a team is a big part of the experience. I personally believe that if you separate people, that spirit and bond gets lost over time and isn’t healthy for anybody. Everyone has personal situations that arise and we try to stay very flexible to accommodate needs as they arise. I would like to understand more about when and how you felt uncomfortable about needing to be away and I’d certainly like to resolve it directly. That’s not in line with the culture we strive for, so let’s fix it.

Pros

I have worked at MuleSoft for over 2 ½ years. Prior, I have worked for big enterprise software companies to a 30 person start-up in the Bay Area. I have work in high tech for a while now and MuleSoft is by far and hands down one of the best companies I have worked for yet! I have a long commute (2 hours) but I do it because it is such a great company to work for and the opportunities it affords me. This is the only company that really values and respects the skills I bring to my job, my team and my department. I have had the opportunity to make a big impact as we have grown, have had the opportunity to influence upper management, and stretch my skills and grow my career. Great people! Great human beings, authentic, transparent and it is clear that people here are working together to support each other, so we are all successful and management cares about you as an individual. Pace...I love the pace of this company. I’ve been at many companies, over the years that, move really slow, decisions take forever to make, projects get bogged down, too many people need to approve everything, etc.. Here at MuleSoft, we are always moving, pivoting quickly to stay agile as we grow. We are all rowing in the same direction because we want the company to be successful and love the challenge! MuleSoft affords me the flexibility to have work/life balance and I don’t work from home. MuleSoft isn't for everyone - the pace is super fast and the work is extremely challenging. But it's completely worth it if you enjoy that kind of energy. I'm very rewarded the work I do. I’m excited to go to work every day and love the challenges of a growing company!

Cons

Outgrowing Office space and now will have two different buildings...across the street from each other.

Pros

- Work hard play hard attitude - Team offers so much support to help you succeed - Some of the nicest (and most intelligent) salespeople I've had the pleasure of working with - Robust sales enablement tools - Reasonable Quotas

Cons

- May need to stay in office past 5 to finish work... But hey, in sales you have to do what you have to do to make the money you want to make.
