Pros

Over the past two years Facebook has and continues to be the best job I've ever had. The atmosphere, benefits and opportunities are second to none, and this is in parallel to the unbeiievable growth and scale of the business. You can't go on a bus or train ride without seeing someone using or hearing someone talk about Facebook and that's an amazing experience when you work for the business.

Cons

The company is transitioning from a start-up to a fully fledged company, and with it comes changes of structure and environment as new people join the business. This has lead to some frustration amongst some of the longer tenured people as new people are brought in at senior levels.

Pros

* More work that there are people to do. * Great opportunity to grab what you can and shine. * Awesome benefits and amenities.

Cons

Management structure is still immature. Most managers are working on projects and busy executing their own agenda. Politics are heating up as the pressure to succeed increases. Little personnel development.

Pros

Facebook is exploring some new ground with social networking and its cool to be associated to the innovation

Cons

People are often not treated fairly as Ego's get big fast when a company grows so quickly. They get you in the door with the "potential" of going IPO but your in you give up your life and soul with little career growth or monetary incentives. Its no wonder that three of the four founders have already left in less than 3 years and long term employees are looking to sell their shares. No potential of any amount of 'potential' earnings once they go IPO is worth being treated like second class citizens or just a fancier sweat shop.
