Pros

Great place to learn from skilled individuals, marsh attracts good talent and has a drive on teaching/upskilling. Good work life balance generally too

Cons

Pay reviews are extremely rigid despite positive feedback with almost no movement in years which is disappointing despite all the positive headlines on growth. Pay is generally considered far below market rate

Pros

I genuinely loved working at Marsh. The team was incredibly supportive, the culture was inclusive, and the environment made it a joy to come to work. The leadership was approachable, with ample opportunities to learn and grow professionally.

Cons

The company provided excellent resources for training but I found that the learning approach wasn't as effective for me personally. More flexibility or tailored training methods could have helped me better understand and succeed in my role. This may not be an issue for others, but it's an area where the company could continue to innovate.

Pros

Good colleagues and good place to learn as a junior - otherwise beyond this anyone looking for a real career in insurance should look elsewhere.

Cons

Too many politics Low pay Senior management encourage employees to obtain offers from other firms in order to give pay rises. If you work hard and deliver you will not be rewarded in terms of compensation. NY decides what your bonus is not your manager. No get up and go attitude - only concerned with hitting small targets on budget each year. Management talk about diversity and inclusion but the reality is that proof is in the pudding - majority of the office is white Middle aged men with female staff unfairly treated. Business will not hold people accountable for those that are not performing - which creates a culture of a few very hard working individuals having to deliver for majority of their team. Claims function is shambolic - and this is being kind.
