Pros

-Great exposure to the insurance industry as a whole -Smart colleagues, good mentorship opportunities -Older population, upside potential for younger employees -Exposure to multinational corporations -Great training ground

Cons

-You do not increase your pay without moving back and for between insurance brokers and/or underwriters -Management within each department does not have the ability to pay their younger employees at a market rate -Pay structure and promotion structure is very regimented (i.e. as an entry level associate, you cannot be promoted to an assistance vice president until you work at the company for X number of years). All of this seems to be dictated to each department from executive management
