Pros

Nice salary, above what I see most stores paying. Some managers are great to work with, and some are nice colleagues. You can grow in the company if you show commitment.

Cons

Some managers are toxic as hell. HR hires anyone, in my opinion, or they just don't look for the red flags, both for managers and sales associates. Most of the visual merchandisers think sales assistants are just inferior, you feel that, by the way they talk to you, or tell you to do things like they are your managers, or for instance, blame you for everything. Forget about having conversations with managers about any issue. Same day, everyone will know what was talked about within that room. Lack of professionalism, feels like. Closing at 11 pm is another con. its crazy

Pros

Great opportunity to grow and take on more responsibilities with all the expansion. Love the clothes and great discount. I like the culture of the company and the transparency.

Cons

They recently revisited the vacation time to give more per year which is another reason why I like the company. They are always open for feedback and change!

Pros

good working culture, 40 hours per week, entitlement of full time benefits, great colleagues.

Cons

management expect so much from us. it gets to the point of being delusional. chasing customers for sales to hit the target. lack of acknowledgement from the higher ups. all the upper management does is cause more stress and anxiety. they only care about figures and sales. if the store doesn't hit target they blame the associates claiming we're not providing customer service. overall, management are just super biased, they pick and they choose. unnecessary store visits that doesn't help any because all they do when they come down is complain about how 101 things that are done wrong but do not provide solution?? you are tied to group chats and texts and updates about store operation that will happen any time even after u clock out of work and having to see those work updates late at night or on your off, is very disrupting towards work and life balance, even if you can silent and archive the chats, still the idea of being in a group work chat is diabolical. upper management do not try to communicate with associates only with the store managers and then the store managers will then communicate with us. what's up with the hierarchy? you're on payroll too unless you're the CEO or the founder, we're all employees at the same company. you're not that high and mighty. staff are always unmotivated and demoted at work due to the lack of praise from managers. our work is always questioned claiming we're not doing enough when all we do is being at work for 5 days a week, standing, running clothes, communicating with customers etc. our work never stops! yet we do not get praise. not a simple 'good job.' and with my experience store to store, I could only say the way it is being managed it will only go downhill from here on out. we've had tons of new hires leaving in less than a month and some even going MIA and current employees having left to pick up the slack. mango is going in a different direction than a fast fashion retail chain but more to a higher end fast fashion and I would just like to say, what are you thinking? do you even know your market audience? tell me who's gonna pay $60 for a thin cardigan that used to be $30? NOT ME. we are worked to the bone, expected so much getting so less. constant VM changes EVERRY SINGLE DAYYY and for what? customers that came in the day before having trouble to find it the next day because 'oh we kept it on rotation since its not selling good or / yeah we change the display again ' holy christ do ya'll make it hard for your customers especially your employees when they have to run back the clothes and find out that its in a different location again. ALSO, the pos system is ANCIENT. update your software pls for the love of mercy.
